May 1st, 3pm, there will be a Peaceful Rally at every County Courthouse in Washington State, demanding that we Re-open.
We became aware of this event through Representative Matt Shea out of Spokane, WA, who is a stout defender of our Human Rights. As we are based out of Clark County, WA, our page serves as a place outside of facebook (to avoid any potential censorship) that could take down the fb event. We will be at the rally in Downtown Vancouver at the County Courthouse (1200 Franklin St), and hope that you can join too. Consider the comment space below, your place to coordinate with friends and family.
This event is a call to make a statement at the local level for our county to open up, despite the Governor’s unconstitutional order. As was done at the Olympia event on April 19th, let’s focus on connecting with others to help back us up through this difficult time. For those that would rather stay in their cars, consider driving around the Clark County Courthouse block and honking as you near and pass 1200 & 1300 Franklin St to show your support.
Spread the Word
Tell your friends, family and local officials about the event, invite media, leave a comment below if you’re going, and use the comment section to coordinate with others. As long as the fb event page by Matt Shea is still up, click over and indicate you’re going.
This event must be peaceful, but we must also be loud.
Contact Local Officials
Below is one of our letters to our local city/county officials to Re-Open WA, further outlining why our Rights are more important. Feel free to use this as a template for your own contacts.
It’s time to Re-Open WA. The curve is flat, hospitals are empty, some so slow they are being forced to make layoffs.
Inslee’s order is Unconstitutional, and unreasonable on review of the facts.
I am greatly concerned about the consequences staying closed will have in our State and our County. As we all know, layoffs have impacted many, stimulus checks will not be sufficient, nor will they mitigate loss of health coverage for those in desperate need of medications. The supply chain is under threat of breaking down for food and other necessities.
Criminals are being released from prisons, and while some are non-violent offenders, many ARE violent, and both groups were in there for making poor decisions. Releasing them at this time into a world where they will not get work, greatly concerns me as a father and husband. If someone has no gun in their home; gun shops and gun ranges are closed, so how are they to defend their family if conditions worsen and someone desperate and down on their luck invades their home?
Franklin County is opening back up, so have Snohomish, and Benton Counties. Don’t wait for Inslee’s authorization. It is in your power as our local representatives to do what is best for your citizens, and to ignore unconstitutional orders that have already exceeded emergency powers anyway. Inslee’s decisions were made out of fear and lacking data.
What if You Fear the Virus More?
See the COVID-19 Primer for reasons why this virus that is only deadly to some, does not justify the loss of our Basic Human Rights (nothing does.)
You should also read the excellent post by the Sheriff of Snohomish County on why he opened Snohomish back up, and a break down of why the curve was already flat weeks ago in Oregon and New York, and it had nothing to do with shelter-in-place.
Materials

(Revised 4/28/20 – RCW 43.06.220 does not have an expiration of 30 days on governor orders such as shelter-in-place, and ban on assembly, this was a misread of statue. However, under Notes for (1)(h) where the governor has carte blanche ability to restrict whatever else: it appears evident that the statute, in its entirety, requires a “reasonable” approach to “help preserve and maintain life, health, property, or the public peace.” Upon review of the constantly improving data from what was a “novel” virus, it is evident that the approaches taken are not reasonable. Further: Natural Rights are not subject to suspension, at the whim of the governor.)
Hi. Thanks for putting this together. Your supporting info is great. The WA curves for cases and deaths looks very manageable. Hoping it stays that way leading up to Friday. I would hope we see at least a hundred. Would prefer a thousand.
Thanks Bob, we sure hope so. Not sure if the word is getting out, but we’re trying.
Thanks for the update…I will be there tomorrow !!!
We’ll be there, family of 12
We are going to the one in Kittitas county. Enough is enough.
What was the turnout for Kittias? Looks like we had about 75 people show up in Clark County. Lot of traffic on the site, so I expect next time will have more.
This effort needs to continue. We must defend our liberties since at this point what have we got to lose? I found some astounding data recently and this comes directly from the scientific literature. They know this, but they don’t want us knowing it. The figure I give is a rough estimation of what I recall seeing. The actual number may even be higher. Anyway, the data coming from lots of studies has shown that something like 80% of all diseases are psychosomatic. If you don’t understand that word, go look it up. Seriously. So to imply that we’re all… Read more »
