Do you have a line in the sand when it comes to freedom?
And what if your perceptions about your freedom are being swayed by massive marketing campaigns, paid for by the government?
Most of us are willing to create and follow rules that allow us all to function as a society. We agree to pay taxes to build roads we all drive on, and we set speed limits on those roads, to help with safety.
Every day, we encounter situations where, as a society, we decided directly or indirectly through the voting process, to work together to pay for something and to create rules that are generally intended to keep things running smoothly and safely. But our forefathers knew history, and they understood the tendency of governments to over-reach. They wisely opened our state constitution, saying:
SECTION 1 POLITICAL POWER. All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.
In a free society, we move about within the rules we’ve created, making our own decisions about most things, and we push back and change the rules when we see they no longer makes sense, or become unfair, over-reaching, or harmful.
When it comes to individual rights, we generally agree that the closer to home a rule or restriction gets, the more it begins to invade on those freedoms we all cherish.
SECTION 7 INVASION OF PRIVATE AFFAIRS OR HOME PROHIBITED. No person shall be disturbed in his private affairs, or his home invaded, without authority of law.
We are now in voting season. Many state and local positions are on the ballot, including the top spot. In this current Covid chaos, we are experiencing an unprecedented amount of rules and regulations thrust upon us that have at times, literally, pushed us out of our jobs, out of our schools, and into our houses. And now we are being told even within our houses, we will be expected to follow rules.
Our ability to make and act upon our own decisions has never been more restricted in history. And it’s not just physical limitations, our very decisions are being controlled. The amount of federal and state tax dollars being spent to convince us all that these rules are necessary is staggering.
Did you know the Washington State Department of Health hires advertising agencies that specialize in persuasive techniques and social-engineering to change our attitudes and encourage compliance with rules they want us all to follow?
All the messaging you are seeing and hearing in the media, on freeway signs, billboards—it’s all being generated by agencies paid to convince you to follow along with the rules nobody voted on, not even your elected representatives.
Find that disturbing? I do. One agency the state uses is called GMMB. I encourage you to check them out at their website. Look at their mission statement:
“We’re communications specialists dedicated to creating real and lasting change in the world. We call it ’cause the effect.’”
Look at their history, their clients, their work (https://gmmb.com/work). They are boldly, proudly, political, and aligned with ONE political party.
“For over 30 years, we have helped elect governors from all across the country—including working closely with the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) to win tough campaigns down the stretch, and help close the gap in tight races. In recent years, we have worked with the DGA and other partner organizations on governors’ races in Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, and other states.”
So wait—what? The same marketing agency hired by the Department of Health to push flu vaccinations and to influence the public regarding the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” orders works exclusively for one party to get those candidates into office?
Isn’t that massive conflict of interest? Taxpayer money used to saturate the state with messaging aligned with a political party and candidates? Social-engineering public opinion to align with one party’s goals?
When it comes to medical freedom and informed consent, there is nothing more illustrative than a party’s stance on vaccination and your freedom of choice.
Compare the Washington State Political Party Platforms:
Democrat: “Ensuring community safety by removing personal belief exemptions for mandatory vaccinations in public and private schools.
Republican: “In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing debate concerning future vaccinations, we strongly oppose mandatory vaccination policies.”
Examine GMMB and you’ll see that globally their work serves the vaccine industry and those who stand on the side of mandates and are trying to eliminate personal choice. Inside the Department of Health right now, your federal and state tax dollars are funding the infrastructure to acquire, transport, store, distribute, and massively promote, flu and Covid-19 vaccines. Are you hearing that “it’s never been more important to get a flu vaccine”? Does science back that? Or is it marketing?
And Covid-19 vaccines? The risks of the products cannot be known about for years, and the effectiveness is still unknown. This is what the Department of Health does. They don’t question—they purchase, promote, distribute. And your tax dollars are being used to create marketing campaigns to sway you to roll up your sleeves.
So again, I ask you. Do you have a line in the sand when it comes to freedom?
And what if your perceptions about your freedom are being swayed by massive marketing campaigns, paid for by the government?
Vote like your freedom depends on it. Because it does.
